After more than 10 years trying to get UFC fighting events licensed in New York, the time has come for the much anticipated UFC 205. According to president Dana White, this is the best card the promotion has ever put together. Apparently fans agree, as it’s been reported one fan with money to burn spent $29,510.50 on a single ticket. That’s crazy because it’s more than some of the prelim fighters will make to fight on Saturday.
The main event will feature the ultra trash talking Ireland fighter Conor McGregor verses the confident American Eddie Alvarez. With Madison square garden sold out, the aftermarket ticket sales have been brisk. Would you ever pay almost $30,000 to see a fight?
