Future hall of famer and NBA champion Ray Allen is hanging up his sneakers for good. After a year of speculation on whether the shooting ace would re-sign with the Heat, he made his retirement announcement official at age 41.
Allen will go down as one of the leagues most prolific scorers and a two time NBA champion. In his 18 year career, he won a championship with the famed Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. No word if the champ plans on going into coaching or broadcasting, but he is sure to stay close to the game he loves.
