Navy Seal Stands Up & Walks For The First Time After Car Accident & Starts Kissing Wife

Navy Seal Jonathan Grant was severely hurt in an automobile accident in March of 2017. He returned home to North Carolina after serving his country on 3 overseas deployments. Grant was enjoying time with his loving wife Laura, when the horrific car accident occurred. The injuries left Jonathan with internal bleeding in his head and a resulting brain injury that caused him to be in a coma for 61 days.

The injuries were so severe, doctors were not sure if he would survive. If he did make it, the worry was he would be confined to a wheel chair and be dependent on care for the rest of his life. Thankfully Grant had the support of his loving and committed wife of 5 years. She stood by him each day in the hospital and encouraged him.

Perhaps the love from his wife helped Jonathan emerge from his coma. He has made huge steps forward on his road to recovery. He can now breathe without a tube and is eating on his own.

Now, in a video that went viral, Jon stood up and took his first steps. His wife was there for him and that gave him the extra motivation he needed. Jon lurched forward and as he stepped, he kissed his amazing wife.

She said: “We had not been able to stand & hold each other since before the car accident, but as soon as we got him up, he started kissing my neck. It gave me the chills — him kissing me back, you don’t realize how much that means until it’s almost taken away from you.”

Jon still has a long ways to go to make a full recovery, but his lovely wife Laura will be there for him every step of the way. We wish Jon a full recovery and many, many more kisses for many more years to come.
